FOUR PILLARS, ONE FRAMEWORK
A FRAMEWORK BUILD FOR REAL CHANGE
The S.A.F.E Method is the evidence-informed framework that underpins every SO ARE YOU™ program. It was developed by Jenna Chaffey through years of hands-on experience delivering wellbeing programs to young people across Australia.
Unlike traditional approaches, The S.A.F.E Method combines movement, music, dance, aerobics, rhythm, games, and play with positive reinforcement and psychologically informed methods, creating experiences that engage the whole child, not just the mind.
Through participation, interaction, and shared joy, students build the emotional, social, and physical foundations they need to truly thrive, at school and beyond. The S.A.F.E Method is designed to strengthen the protective factors most strongly linked to positive mental health outcomes in children and young people.
NOT YOUR TYPICAL WELLBEING PROGRAM
Unlike traditional wellbeing presentations where students sit and listen. The S.A.F.E Method actively engages students through participation, interaction, movement, and shared experiences.
Traditional wellbeing
Sit. Listen. Forget.
✗ Passive delivery
✗ One-size-fits-all approach
✗ Limited engagement or interaction
✗ Short-term impact, quickly forgotten
✗ Often excludes students with different needs
✗ Ticks a box - but doesn't create change
THE S.A.F.E METHOD
Move. Connect. Grow
⚡ Active participation - every student involved
⚡ Tailored to age, ability, and school needs
⚡ Movement, music, games & genuine connection
⚡ Lasting impact - confidence students carry forward
⚡ Fully inclusive, NDIS approved delivery
⚡ Creates real, measurable change in students
IN PRACTICE
WHAT THE S.A.F.E METHOD LOOKS LIKE
Every session is designed to engage, activate, and empower, here's what
students and schools experience.
🎵
Dance & movement
High-energy choreography and free movement that gets every student up, moving, and smiling, regardless of experience or ability.
🎮
Games & play
Purposeful games and play-based activities that build connection, communication, and teamwork in a way that never feels like "learning."
🧠
Mindset moments
Age-appropriate conversations and activities around confidence, self-worth, and how we talk to ourselves, delivered through doing, not lecturing.
🤝
Connection activities
Structured social experiences that naturally build genuine friendships, empathy, and a sense of belonging within the group.
🪩
Music & rhythm
Music is at the heart of every session, it elevates mood, builds energy, and creates shared experiences that students remember long after.
✨
Positive reinforcement
Every student is celebrated. Every effort acknowledged. Our facilitators create an environment where students feel genuinely seen and valued.
